Till GATE-2008 the examination comprised of single paper of 3 hours duration and has maximum marks 150. Now from GATE 2009, the question paper will be fully objective type and aspirants will have to mark the correct answer by darkening the appropriate bubble box against each question on the ORS (Objective Response Sheet). Additionally, there will be negative marking for wrong answers and deduction could range from 25% of the marks allotted.
