Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) was established in 1999, as a center of excellence in Information Technology and allied areas. In the year 2000, the institute was conferred the "Deemed University" status by Govt. of India. It has been conceived with a vision of developing professional expertise and skilled manpower in Information Technology (IT) and other allied areas. The two-year management course at IIIT-A is organized into four semesters. Master Of Science In Cyber Law and Information Security
Admission Procedure for M.Tech. Programs at IIIT-A Only GATE Qualified candidates are eligible to apply (Except for MBBS, BVSC&AH and Sponsored candidates). GATE Exam can be in any of the disciplines covered under the ambit of GATE and may not necessarily correspond to the candidates basic discipline.
All candidates shall however be required to appear in the Institute Entrance Examination, followed by an interview with a designated Board. Both, written examination, as well as interview shall be held to assess the candidate’s potential for the intended program of study.
Screened candidates on the basis of GATE score shall have to appear for Entrance Examination etc. at IIIT-Allahabad as per the schedule Final Merit List for admissions shall be prepared, keeping in view the following weightage:
Written Test : 50%
GATE Score : 30%
Interview : 20%
NOTE: All the M.Tech students (other than sponsored candidates) are admitted on the basis of GATE score and test/interview conducted by the institution. Candidates having GATE score are eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs. 5000 for maximum four semesters. GATE Scholarships are applicable to the Candidates admitted to the programs M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI and Embedded Systems, BioInformatics, Computer Aided Structural Engineering and Computational Linguistics.
