Jawaharlal Nehru University is located in New Delhi and was established in the year 1969. With a vast experience in the arena of education of about 4 decades, JNU has set a benchmark in the academic and intellectual life of Indian subcontinent. JNU has been able to allure academicians from India as well as from across the world to get world class education. University campus is spread over a sprawling area of 1000 acres with faculty constituting a number of 500 and student’s strength of 5500.
Admission to M.Tech programme is conducted on the basis of performance of the students in the all India Entrance Examination conducted by JNU at different centers across the country, which is later-on followed by an extensive interview. The courses offered by JNU are well organized to provide a wide spectrum of choices to the students.
The faculty as well as the students are interested in a wide area of computer’s database systems, artificial intelligence, computer networks and distributed computing, numerical analysis, computer graphics, mathematical modeling, statistical methods, optimization techniques (operational research), OOPS, Advanced DBMS (OODBMS, Distributed DBMS etc.), Software Engineering etc.
The last semester for M.Tech has to be work in the chosen field under the guidance of a professor and has to submit the dissertation at the end of the third semester.
