Applications are invited from students who expect to complete thier M.Sc in Physics/Electronics/Astronomy/Applied Mathematics or B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech degree any branch with first class marks by August 2010. In addition, candidates in their final year B.Sc. and first year M.Sc in Physics/Electronics/Astronomy/Applied Mathematics may also apply to be PRE-SELECTED for research scholarship, at Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune or National Centre for Radio Astrophysics of the TATA Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR), Pune.
Selection to the research scholarship is through a written test. This is in addition to the selction through the usual JEST-2010.

Candidates should download the complete set of application, two Assessment Forms and Admit Letter, all in A4 size paper from the websites www.iucaa.ernet.in/~inat or www.ncar.tifr.res.in/~inat
Eligible candidates may also walk in for the written test by producing a valid photo identity.Short listed candidates will be invited to take the written test, and all out-station candidates, who are invited to take the written test, will be paid travel support as per rules.

Last Date to receive filled in application set is October 5, 2009.
Admission test will be held on December 16, 2009.
Short listed candidates will be interviewed on December 16 and/or 17, 2009.
