The annual cultural programme 'Junoon-11' organised at M S University's faculty of technology and engineering will take off on February 15. It is for the first time that the festival will have a technical carnival apart from regular cultural programmes. The technical carnival will focus on technical competition among students of different departments.
"The non-engineering students will also participate in the technical carnival that will have paper presentation, quizzes and workshop on robotics. A team from IIT-Kharagpur will talk about robotics during the workshop," faculty dean K Baba Pai said. The students have invited band Agni to perform during the rock show on February 17.
The cultural programmes will have singing, dancing, debates, quizzes, short-film making, photography, rangoli-making, antaakshri, IPL-bidding, and painting. In technical event, a game 'counter strike' will be played on computers apart from building bridges and designing cars.
The faculty has also organised 'techo week' during which students will celebrate vegetable day, rose day, tapori day, traditional day and chocolate day.
