Students of technical colleges  will represent to the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) that it should offer financial support to colleges to organize technological festivals.

Students of LD Engineering College are facing a tough time gathering financial resources for the TQNIX, the annual tech-fest that is held in the college. Students are putting their best efforts towards designing models of robots, planes and other technological wonder. The programme, however, required funds worth Rs 5-8 lakhs and the students find it difficult to garner an amount like this on their own steam. "It will be better if the GTU divides the technical colleges in five zones and funds the tech-fests. This would also enable the students to focus more on research and designing models instead of spending time towards collecting funds from sponsors", said a student.
