For, from next week, GTU will launch a portal where students' complaint will be filed and tracked till the issues are resolved.
GTU will appoint coordinators at the 450 colleges associated with the varsity who will forward the complaint of students online.
"We have already started the pilot testing of the portal where coordinators of a few colleges have already posted complaints of students. The appointed coordinators will be responsible for sending the scanned documents of the students' complaint to GTU which will be forwarded to the respective departments," said GTU registrar G P Vadodaria.
GTU officials said often students fail to get their issues resolved at their college level but with online complaint portal, respective departments will not be able to shy away from their responsibility. Also students will also be able to view status of their complaint on the portal.
"Once we receive the complaint, we will forward it to the respective department of the college which will have to revert to us in a set time period. The student will be able to track his complaint from the portal," said Vadodaria.
He added that college faculties can too use the portal to resolve their issues with the college.
