The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comed-K) is not budging on the exam date for the under-graduate Entrance Test which will be held as per schedule on May 8, 2011.

If the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducts the AIEEE does not change its test dates, students who were to appear for both the exams will be in a fix.

There was speculation that Comed-K may change the dates as the AIEEE was postponed to May 8 for students who missed the exam on May 1. AIEEE was delayed by three hours following a paper leak which deprived students appearing for the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) examinations from appearing for the AIEEE.

Students who were taking both AIEEE and AFMC tests were given the option of taking AIEEE on May 8.

On Monday, Comed-K said for a handful of students who are likely to take another examination of CBSE, the Comed-K Entrance Examination scheduled on May 8 could not be postponed. A change could have caused hardship to nearly 68,000 students, many of whom have made travel arrangements to reach their test centres.
